AAYP Evangelistic Mission & Community Development Project – Kalangala District

The Adventist Association of Young Professionals (AAYP) – Uganda Chapter is organizing a mission outreach and community development project in Kalangala District from 21st March to 4th April 2026. This initiative combines evangelism, community service, and education support to expand the presence of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the island communities of Lake Victoria.

Currently, only 11 out of the 84 islands in Kalangala District have an Adventist presence, leaving many communities unreached. This mission aims to bring spiritual hope, education support, and social services to these underserved island populations.

2. Construction of School Facilities

AAYP plans to construct a dormitory and classroom block at SDA Victorious Nursery & Primary School, Mulabana.

Why this project is important

Many children travel long distances across the lake to access education, often facing serious risks.

The new facilities will:

  • Protect vulnerable children, especially girls, from risks such as early marriage and exploitation

  • Increase access to quality Adventist education

  • Provide spiritual development through daily chapel services
