What is AAYP?
The Association of Adventist Young Professionals (AAYP), is a members based organization fully registered as an association, company limited by guarantee and run on the principles that govern the SDA church. The association was launched in 2009 by the then minister of Ethics and integrity (Mr. Nsaba Butuuro) to co-ordinate Adventist professionals to develop themselves, the church and the communities around them.
Since then AAYP has been implementing spiritual and economic development activities to transform lives of the youths and other people at local, national and international levels, contributing to the attainment of the National Development Plan of Uganda, community development agenda and as well as the global Sustainable Development Goals.
AAYP prides in a strong governance norms and structure espousing corporate governance rules and norms. The Institution enjoys stability through yearly change of the Executive and yearly external audits.

AAYP OBJECTIVES
- To support communities for economic development and empowerment
- To empower members and the community with knowledge and skills for personal development.
- To strengthen the professional capacity of the members.
- To provide guidance to students in secondary schools and other institutions of higher learning.
- To mobilize Professionals towards personal economic development and progress of communities.
AAYP ACHIVEMENTS
- AAYP has carried out prison based empowerment activities at Nakasongola Prison, Rwimi, Mubuku prisons in Kasese, Masindi Prison where outreaches were done and prisoners given skills and items to help them as they serve their sentences.
- AAYP has carried out activities among Orphanages and children remand homes for example Another hope Children’s home in Wakiso and
- AAYP has carried out health outreaches in Karamoja (Nakayot and Nakapiripirit) where thousands of people were immunized, and given medical care.
- AAYP has donated hospital consumables and equipment to community hospitals like Ishaka Adventist Hospital, Kilembe mines hospital and Mulago Hospital.
